Forming New Partnerships!

What’s stopping you from volunteering?

Our Diamonds & Pearls Founder Mrs. Neka and Director Ms. Twanna were invited to a Volunteer Mixer for a unique organization. House of Dawn Inc. is a nonprofit social services agency providing residential and support services to pregnant and parenting young mothers and their children.

House of Dawn also provides pregnancy prevention services with referrals and therapeutic intervention services to help teen mothers with clinical depression, psychosomatic disorders, substance abuse, anger management, and counseling to help reverse feelings of low self-esteem.  House of Dawn’s Second Chance Home provides a stable, loving, home under adult supervision with a highly trained staff,for teen age mothers ages 13 to 19 and their children who are at risk for potential homelessness, physical, psycho-emotional and sexual abuse.
This program also offers a Transitional Living Program for homeless single women ages 18 to 21 and their children, who need supportive housing assistance. The program over site is provided by Life Coach that provides a full range of services that include but not limited to parenting and life skill training, educational enhancement, housing supervision, access to health care and child care services.

At the volunteer mixer there were other invited guests who were there to be a part of this wonderful organization as well. After the presentation the invited guest had time to converse. The conversations were truly insightful, uplifting and inspiring it gave all of us women the opportunity to share and uplift each other! Wow it’s simply beautiful when you can gather of this level and walk away with much more than we came with… Thank you Cherie, Donna, Shonda, Tanya and Brittany for opening your heart and spirit to us!
A very special thank you to Ms. Yvonne Prioleau the Executive Director of House of Dawn for your wonderful and divine spirit! You have inspired each of us women and to keep changing the lives of our young ladies one day at a time!

This organization is now looking for women to volunteer whatever talent or skill you may have as well as time available. They now have the follow availability:
·         Help support the young ladies and the staff
·         Helping with outings
·          Babysitting
·          Spring and Fall Festivals  
·         Various fundraising opportunities
·         Mentors Needed
