Our D&P Dolls had another great lesson to learn!

This workshop was on Etiquette, this was very entertaining and educational program in manners, poise and style that empowers our girls to achieve their maximum potential by building confidence in their social skills.

The Etiquette workshop helped our young ladies to have visual poise, personal style and social etiquette thru interactive dinner in order that the newly learned information becomes a life skill.

The workshop concluded with a lovely dinner at a nice restaurant “Our Place” in College Park GA. This is where the young ladies had an opportunity to utilize their newly acquired skills.

We truly become what we practice and it's important for us to familiarize ourselves with these skills. It is our goal to empower the total person inside and outward. We also discus
sed proper table topics of conversation as well, we desire for our young ladies to be equipped for whatever environment they may find themselves placed in.

To know oneself is to be yourself in the midst of others... ~Akenya

Learn about our next event!

Etiquette Class

D& P Etiquette University for Young Ladies is a social yet educational program in manners, poise and of course empowerment, that creates a positive sense of self  within young ladies to discover and achieve their full potential by equipping them with confidence in their social skills.

We have designed a mini program that will guide them through any social setting. These sessions teach visual poise, proper table manners and conversation as well as personal tips for daily grooming, through examples and role play. What we practice we become is the motto we use, it let’s us know if we practice the proper way of doing things it becomes natural.

To conclude our program we host an annual Tea Party where the ladies are given the opportunity to showcase the skills they’ve acquired.

Fitness on the Green!!!

Mrs.Neka and the dolls :)

Mrs.Neka calling the girls to order!!!

What an exciting and active weekend our D&P Dolls had we learned so much about eating right, getting fit and staying health. All of our Dolls came prepared with workout wear and sneakers on. Mrs. Neka was also ready to give us the biggest workout we ever had!

We did simple stretching exercises, and afterwards the real workout was underway!! Mrs. Neka lead us in various exercises and fun games that got our hearts pumping Red Light, Green Light and Freeze Tag!!!  Once we were done with this workout, we found out Mrs. Neka wasn’t going to allow us to get away that quickly! We then had to walk around the entire neighborhood this was a two mile walk with a hill....

Freeze Tag in motion!!
Warming up the muscles...
Once back at Mrs. Neka’s house she made sure we had a nice cold bottle of water waiting to quench our thirst. After we all cooled down and had a chance to catch our breath it was lunch time!! A nice healthy lunch awaited. Turkey and cheese sandwiches, pretzels and for dessert we had yogurt, ganola, we made our own trail mix and dried fruit. It was at this time Mrs. Neka spoke to us about the importance of eating right staying active along with a few fun facts about our bodies.. At the close of the workshop we were all given a healthy charge to keep up the getting active movement at home and involve the entire family!!!

Get Fit, Get Active and Eat for good health ;-)

We'll see you on the green....

Fun Health Facts!

The human brain has the capacity to store everything you experiences

It takes approximately 12 hours for food to entirely digest.

Your stomach produces new layers of mucus every two weeks so it won’t digest itself.

The average person’s skin weighs twice as much as their brain.

Your tongue is the only muscle in your body that is attached at only one end.
FAB and FIT!!

Meet a woman that wears many different hats and does it so well!!

Diamonds & Pearl  founder Mrs. Neka Scott is a woman who wears many different hats, a woman of God, mother, wife, sister, friend and mentor. Friday night I found out not only was she all of those great things but to add to the list of her wonderful characteristics is also an actress. “YES” Mrs. Neka is an actress!

Mrs. Neka in action!

Mrs. Neka was in a play called “A Sinners Homecoming” at her church Living Faith Tabernacle; she played a character named Jackie. Her character was a person just like herself, caring, loving, strong, and spiritual. The play was written by an “up and coming” phenomenal play writer Mrs. Annetta Swift. This play was about a woman who lost her faith in god because of so many tragedies in her life. Also included was a story about a drug lord and his followers who has altered the main characters daughter's life. In the end everyone gave their life to God! We were so inspired in the church that evening a wonderful spirit was amongst us all!
Mrs. Neka we all know that you’re not the type of person to talk about yourself, but we will do it for you!
We Love You and thank you for all that you do!

Ashley
Dear D&P Founders,
My weekend at the cabin was really fun and interesting. There are three parts that were really fun. The first thing was making my vision board. I liked having to get in front of everybody and tell them why I picked certain pictures. The next thing was going tubing. Although I had a rough time. I learned that something’s try to relax even if you are alone. The last but diffidently not least was making the smores. The smores tasted really good. The bad part or the not so great part was when we had to go to bed. I didn’t like that part because even if I tried to go to sleep I couldn’t because everyone was always talking. I have something that has been moving around mind for awhile. It has to do with somewhere we should go with D&P group.
I want to thank you for the D&P Foundation. If it wasn’t for you we want have such things for us. D&P so I want to thank you again for everything you’ve done for us and with us!
Love Ashley
